Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the Lokmanya Tilak National Award in Pune on August 1. The award is given to honor his exceptional leadership and for inspiring a sense of patriotism among the people of India, according to organizers. The Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust (Hind Swaraj Sangh) will present the award on the 103rd death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak. The trust president, Deepak Tilak, stated that India has progressed greatly under Prime Minister Modi’s strong leadership, particularly through the concept of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). The release further highlighted that the Prime Minister has revitalized the spirit of patriotism among citizens and has elevated India’s standing on the global stage. In recognition of his hard work and dedication, the trustees of the Tilak Smarak Mandir Trust unanimously chose him as the recipient of this prestigious award. Sharad Pawar, the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has been invited as the chief guest for the award ceremony.
